REMEMBER TO RECYCLE ALL YOUR INKJET, LASER JET CARTRIDGES AND CELL PHONES WITH WOAS-FM! We had to use a chunk of the recycle revenue to replace part of our lightning damaged control board - but without your kind donations or recyclables, we would be off the air. Watch this space and local media for an update soon!

Being GREEN isn't too hard - just save your CELL PHONES. INKJET, and LASERJET CARTRIDGES for WOAS-FM and we will recycle them through the FUNDING FACTORY. No cost to you and no cost to us as the FF takes care of all shipping costs. What do we get in return? A cleaner planet and proceeds that are put toward WOAS and OASD projects (like our digital camera and computer projector, class room materials, and the server WOAS uses to put our radio station web site (www.woas-fm.org) and the local weather data (gathered from our roof top weather station) on line.
As an added bonus, you will also feel GOOD about it! Contact Ken Raisanen at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or 884-4433 Ext 113 if you have any questions.
Recycle items can be dropped off at the SCHOOL OFFICE (on Parker Ave), the Ontonagon Township Library or the Ontonagon Herald office.
Funds raised from the recycle program have been used to purchase specialty classroom supplies (like gouges for carving), a digital camera, projector, and accessories for use in class and on field trips, the server being used to stream WOAS-FM and the school weather station, a carry all cart to use for various activities, and printing supplies so we can share our adventures with school visitors!. Thank you so much for helping out!!

" It is a well-known precept in education that the most important thing to do in any study is not so much to memorize facts, but rather to know what to look for and where to find it."
